Johncom says FY headline EPS up 36 pct

(Reuters) - South African media group Johnnic Communications (Johncom) lifted full-year headline earnings per share by 36 percent to 659 cents, and said it expected to maintain growth in the current financial year.

Johncom said in a statement on Thursday that it had grown its revenue for the period to end-March by 17 percent to 5.4 billion rand.

Shareholders ok M-Net sale

Shareholders in media company Johnnic Communications (Johncom) on Wednesday approved the company's sale of its 38.56% interest in pay television channel Electronic Media Network (M-Net) and SuperSport International Holdings.

The shareholders also approved the unbundling to Johncom shareholders of the Naspers Limited shares received as part consideration.
