Air Liquide sets guidance on 10-year euro bond -lead

(Reuters) - BNP Paribas, Calyon and Citigroup are managing the sale.




Shares in Air Liquide rose sharply on Tuesday on market talk
of bid interest from private equity group KKR [KKR.UL], traders
said.

interested in Deutsche Post," a trader said.

FACTBOX-Some glimpses into private equity pioneer KKR

(Reuters) - * KKR called itself a "global alternative asset manager"
when it was founded in 1976, led by Henry Kravis and George
Roberts, two of the biggest names in leveraged buyouts.




* KKR now has 399 employees, including 139 investment
professionals, and offices in seven cities, including New York,
Menlo Park and Tokyo.

Buyout firms tout record in UK political showdown

(Reuters) - Pressed about any negative effects of the leveraged buyout industry, representatives of Carlyle Group , Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. , Permira and 3i Group were universal in saying they could think of none.




"Private equity is a force for good," KKR managing partner Dominic Murphy told a Treasury Committee, while Carlyle managing director Robert Easton said: "My own experience in private equity in this country has only been positive ... It's been positive for the companies I've been involved with."

Dutch TMG to take stake in German ProSieben-report

(Reuters) - In a preview Thursday of an article to be published on
Friday, the newspaper did not say how big TMG's stake in
ProSieben would be.




In exchange for the stake, TMG would forsake a right of
last refusal clause, which entitles it to buy the rest of SBS
if the company's majority owners, private equity firms Permira
[PERM.UL] and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, [KKR.UL] opt to sell.

REFILE-Four private equity firms eye ASE buyout- paper

(Reuters) - New potential buyers are Kohlberg Kravis Roberts , Blackstone, Texas Pacific Group and Goldman Sachs, the Commercial Times said, citing unnamed sources.

ASE, the world's biggest chip packaging and testing firm, said Carlyle's bid did not reflect its value. A company spokesman said it was not now in talks with other private equity firms.

U.S. shares set to rise, M&A activity supports

(Reuters) - "The wave of takeover activity continuous and that supports the market," said Roland Hirschmueller, trader in U.S. shares at German brokerage Baader, pointing to a $26 billion buyout bid for First Data Corp. .

The credit-card and payment processor First Data said on Monday it had agreed to a buyout bid by private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

BCE being eyed by buyout firm KKR: report

(Reuters) - KKR would not be able to purchase BCE on its own due to foreign ownership restrictions on Canadian phone companies, but the sources said the private equity firm has been in talks with potential partners, including leading pension funds.

Ontario Teachers' Pension Fund, BCE's biggest shareholder with a 5.3 percent stake, is among those that have been approached, according to the report.
