Peru's Bond Rating Raised by Moody's on Exports, Decline in Foreign Debt

(Bloomberg) -- Peru's foreign currency bond rating
was increased by Moody's Investors Service.

The rating was raised to Ba2 from Ba3, the company said in
a statement today.

Indonesia's Cikarang Listrindo to Sell $425 Million of High-Yield Bonds

(Bloomberg) -- PT Cikarang Listrindo, an independent
power producer in Indonesia, plans to sell $425 million of high-
yield, high-risk bonds, according to an e-mail sent to investors.

The power company, which supplies to state-owned utility PT
Perusahaan Listrik Negara, hired Morgan Stanley and UBS AG to
arrange the sale, the e-mail shows.

Copper Rises to Two-Week High in New York on Strike Threats in Chile, Peru

(Bloomberg) -- Copper rose to a two-week high in
New York as planned strikes in Chile and Peru threatened to
disrupt supplies.

Contract workers at Chile's Codelco, the world's largest
copper producer, may strike tomorrow to seek higher pay, and
three unions at Southern Copper Corp.'s Peruvian operations plan
to walk out June 23. Demand for copper exceeded production by
176,000 metric tons in the first four months of the year, the
World Bureau of Metals Statistics said today.

Copper Rises in Asian Trade as Strikes May Disrupt Supply; Zinc Advances

(Bloomberg) -- Copper prices rose in Asia amid
concern strikes at Latin American mines will disrupt supply of
the metal at a time of falling global stockpiles.

Workers at Codelco, the world's biggest copper producer,
Chile's Collahuasi mine and Southern Copper Corp.'s Peruvian
operations have threatened to strike over pay demands. London
Metal Exchange inventories dropped for the 22nd day, by 1,650
metric tons to 114,950 tons, the exchange said yesterday.

Indonesia's Listrik Negara Hires UBS for Planned $1 Billion Bond Sale

(Bloomberg) -- PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara,
Indonesia's state utility, hired UBS AG to help it raise about $1
billion selling bonds, President Director Eddie Widiono said.

The company plans to meet investors in Hong Kong, Singapore,
London and Los Angeles from tomorrow till June 20 to promote the
debt sale, according to an e-mail sent to investors today.

Chalco Halts Hong Kong, Shanghai Shares Pending `Important' Announcement

(Bloomberg) -- Shares of Aluminum Corp. of China
Ltd., the nation's biggest producer of the metal, and Baotou
Aluminum Co. were suspended today amid speculation Chalco, as
Aluminum Corp. is known, will buy Baotou assets from its parent.

The two producers didn't give a reason for the suspension
in statements to the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The move comes a
day after Chalco's parent, Chinalco, acquired Peru Copper Inc.
for C$840 million ($792 million). Chalco's investor relations
manager Zhang Qing said the suspension relates to Baotou,
without elaborating.

Peruvian Stocks Rebound, Gaining Most in 12 Years: World's Biggest Mover

(Bloomberg) -- Peru's main stock index rose the most in
12 years as investors bet a five-day plunge brought share prices
back in line with earnings prospects.

The Lima General Index climbed 1219.26, or 6.6 percent, to
19,763.08 at 11:23 a.m. New York time, its steepest gain since
April 1995 and the biggest move among markets included in global
benchmarks.

Peruvian Stocks Slides Most in 12 Years on Copper: World's Biggest Mover

(Bloomberg) -- Peru's main stock index fell the most in
more than 12 years, led by miner Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SA, as
the price of copper dropped on concern over Chinese demand.

The Lima General Index plunged 1587.44, or 7.9 percent, the
most since January 1995, to 18,479.33 at 12:08 p.m. New York time.
It was the biggest move among markets included in global
benchmarks.

Peru's Stocks Fall Most in Week, Led by Cerro Verde: World's Biggest Mover

(Bloomberg) -- Peru's main stock index fell for the
fourth time in five days as investors bet shares were expensive
relative to earnings after a rally earlier this year.

The Lima General Index declined 502.56, or 2.4 percent, to
20,745.75 at 2:44 p.m. New York time, led by miner Sociedad
Minera Cerro Verde SA. It was the index's steepest fall since May
16 and the biggest move among markets included in global
benchmarks.

Peru inflation rises 0.35 percent in March

(Reuters) - In March 2006, the consumer price index rose 0.46 percent and 0.26 percent in February of this year.

Consumer prices have risen 0.62 percent in the first three months of 2007, the government said in its gazette El Peruano, without providing details on the increases by sector.
