Aspreva, Crocs, Data Domain, Given Imaging, McCormick: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges
today. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names.
Share prices are as of 3:05 p.m. New York time.

Oil Refiners: Citigroup Global Markets Inc. downgraded
shares of Valero Energy Corp. (VLO US), the largest U.S. refiner,
and Tesoro Corp. (TSO US), the largest refiner in the U.S. West,
to ``sell'' from ``hold'' because of valuations. Sunoco Inc. (SUN
US), the biggest refiner in the Northwest, was cut to ``hold''
from ``buy.'' Valero fell $1.08, or 1.5 percent, to $73.58.
Sunoco lost $1.21 to $79.12 and Tesoro retreated $1.21 to $56.70.

shares of Valero Energy Corp. (VLO US), the largest U.S. refiner,
and Tesoro Corp. (TSO US), the largest refiner in the U.S. West,
to ``sell'' from ``hold'' because of valuations. Sunoco Inc. (SUN

from ``buy.'' Valero fell $2.34, or 3.1 percent, to $72.32.
Sunoco lost $2.30 to $78.03 and Tesoro retreated $2.64 to $55.27.

Oil Rises to Nine-Month on Speculation Gasoline Output to Trail Demand

(Bloomberg) -- Crude oil in New York rose to the
highest price since September on concern that U.S. refiners will
be unable to keep up with growing gasoline demand.

Valero Energy Corp. shut a unit at its Corpus Christi,
Texas, refinery yesterday, according to a state-administered Web
site. Refineries in the U.S. and Canada have unexpectedly shut
units this spring, paring gasoline production for the peak-demand
driving season. U.S. refineries reduced operating rates the past
three weeks, an Energy Department report on June 13 showed.

Crude Oil Rises on U.S. Refinery Maintenance, OPEC's Ample Supply Outlook

(Bloomberg) -- Oil futures rose on concern that
refinery maintenance in the U.S. will limit increases in
gasoline supplies and OPEC's reluctance to boost output will
reduce crude stockpiles.

Valero Energy Corp., the largest U.S. refiner, closed two
gasoline production units at processing plants in Louisiana and
Houston yesterday. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting
Countries doesn't see the need to increase production amid ample
crude supplies, Abdalla el-Badri, the group's secretary general,
said in an interview in London yesterday.

UPDATE 1-Ex-Valero CEO Greehey starts new venture with bids

(Reuters) - SAN ANTONIO, April 3 - Former Valero Energy Corp. Chief Executive Bill Greehey said on Tuesday his new venture, NuStar Energy , started its first official day of operation by bidding on two Citgo Petroleum Corp. asphalt plants up for sale.

The aggressive start to NuStar, a spin-off of leading U.S. refiner Valero's petroleum pipeline and terminal operations, will be followed by further acquisitions.
