U.S. Stock-Index Futures Advance; Apple, Google Shares Climb in Europe

(Bloomberg) -- U.S. stock-index futures advanced
after brokerages recommended buying shares of Apple Inc., the
maker of the iPod music and video player, and Google Inc., owner
of the world's most popular Internet search engine.

Oracle Corp., the world's third-largest software maker,
gained before reporting fourth-quarter earnings.

Hitachi, Oracle to sell China anti-piracy tags: report

(Reuters) - Hitachi and Oracle expect increasing demand for so-called IC, or integrated circuit, tags for a wide range of products, including cash vouchers, luxury items and home appliances, the Nikkei said, without giving a source for the information.




No-one at Hitachi or the local unit of Oracle could be reached for comment.

UPDATE 1-SAP shares gain on talk Oracle bought 8 pct stake

(Reuters) - "There is talk that Oracle bought 8 percent in SAP," one
trader said.




An SAP spokesman said the talk was pure speculation. Oracle
was not immediately available for comment.

Oracle suit may prompt criminal action against SAP

(Reuters) - SAN FRANCISCO, March 26 - Oracle Corp.'s lawsuit charging rival business software maker SAP AG with corporate theft could spur criminal as well as civil legal action against the company or "rogue" individuals acting on their own.

Analysts highlighted the details included in the 43-page complaint accusing an SAP business unit in Texas of illegally using customer log-ins to steal copyrighted materials and other materials from its password-protected Web site.
