The Kospi index climbed 2.4 percent to a record 1,983.14. The
Kosdaq added 0.7 percent to 825.33. Kospi 200 futures expiring in
September advanced 2 percent to 252.55, while the underlying index
gained 2.3 percent to 251.45.
