Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average, Topix Index Rise; Sony, Nissan Pace Gain

(Bloomberg) -- Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average
rose 18.86, or 0.1 percent, to 18,168.76 at 9:02 a.m. in Tokyo.
The broader Topix index added 2.58, or 0.1 percent, to
1784.44.

Sony Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. paced the advances.
