(Reuters) - The total estimated cost of the gasifier portion of the project for Southern Power has increased to $212 million, the company said, reflecting higher commodity costs and demand for workers. It had estimated the total cost at $121 million, according to a 2006 regulatory filing.
The $569 million plant is due to come on line in 2010.
