(Reuters) - It was Red Lobster's first month of positive same-store
sales since February, and the company's shares rose more than 2
percent in extended trading after the announcement.
Sales at Italian-themed Olive Garden restaurants open at
least 16 months rose 3 percent to 4 percent for the five weeks
ended July 1. Customer counts rose about 1 percent and the
average check was up between 2 percent and 3 percent, Darden
said.
